Bamboo Cotton Yarn

Bamboo and organic cotton, a match made in fiber heaven. It's so lovely and pleasant to work with, sleek without being slippery. It's ideal for baby dresses, chemo caps, lovely garments of any type that won't leave you too warm. Not scoured, so be sure to wash well before dyeing.

• 51% combed organic cotton, 49% bamboo rayon
• Approximately 8 oz., approx. 495 yds, 1 skein
• Approximately 20 sts per 4" on US 7-9 or 4.5-5.5mm
• Dyes great with Fiber Reactive Dye

Organic, you say?
GOTS, or Global Organic Textile Standard, is a certification organization. What it means to be GOTS certified is that a product meets that organization's standards for how the fiber is grown, cultivated, processed and dyed. That is, the fiber is organic and the mill that the yarn is spun in also meets Organic standards. For this particular yarn we rely on our supplier's representation that the fiber is organic. The mill they are spun in is not so certified, so GOTS certification is not available. This particular yarn is therefore what is known as a Non Certified Organic yarn.
