All the bits and pieces in this kit are of good quality and suitable to the task except the book. The book is an introduction to dyeing animal fibers. As near as I can tell as a neophyte to dyeing animal fibers and plant fibers (such as cotton) are processed in very fundamentally different ways. The inclusion of the $20 book into this kit is of minimall use to the person who wants to try dyeing.
