Real, authentic, genuine, beeswax. Some batik artists won't use anything else. Smells nice! White, refined, pure. Doesn't really crackle for batik, so artists often mix it with Paraffin Wax to "adjust the crackle", or use it for outlining or areas where you want solid coverage. Great for Ukrainian Easter Eggs! Melts at 143.6-149 degrees F.
Beeswax comes in blocks that weigh about 1 pound and it is priced by the block.
Remember to work in a well ventilated area and never heat wax to where it starts smoking!

This is my first time using the white beeswax and I'm getting used to it. For some of my work the natural beeswax suits my needs better as it is within my color palette.

I mixed beeswax and paraffin (about 1:3) for batiking and it worked really great. This stuff smells soooo good too! Just like honey.
